Overflowing!

My heart is overflowing with the love and encouragement from so many of my friends and family joining in this! Thank you for all the emails and comments of encouragement ...God Bless all of you.

This weekend we went to the 50th birthday party for Jeff Hubbard! About 10 Years ago I was in a band called " Slim Chance" and Jeff played the electric guitar. The party was like a family reunion! We saw so many people that we hadn't seen in a long time. Jeffs, wife Kathy is such a sweet person, she did a super job on the party......way to go Kathy! And Thank you for including us in such a wonderful evening! Wow, I think back on that time that we were in the band......I have so many great memories from then, .......... I was going through some very painful stuff in my life right after my divorce ......I was not so much drawing close to the Lord as I should have,............... but in hindsight, the Lord was there every second and allowing me to be involved in this band and having these friends to be so close to at that time, was without a doubt my lifeboat. I would leave a hard day of working at the radiator shop and look so forward to going to band practice........we practiced in a garage out on the Alchin family ranch , it was such a great escape, I can remember many times I would show up there and be so down in my spirit, but I got to sing and it was such a great release for me....and I could always count on laughing a whole lot there......what a blessing that was! My face is soaking wet right now with tears of gratitude ....Thank you my Heavenly Father , for having such grace and patients with me through all of that! ............Which calls for a song...........Another song that we are going to sing at the Good Friday service this weekend......."At the Foot of the Cross" By Kathryn Scott:

At the foot of the cross
Where grace and suffering leads
You have shown me your love
Through the judgment you received
And you’ve won my heart
Yes you’ve won my heart now I can…

CHORUS 1
Trade these ashes in for beauty
And wear forgiveness like a crown
Coming to kiss the feet of mercy
I lay every burden down, at the foot of the cross

VERSE 2
At the foot of the cross
Where I am made complete
You have given me love
Through the death you bore for me
And you’ve won my heart
Yes you’ve won my heart now I can…

CHORUS 2
Trade these ashes in for beauty
And wear forgiveness like a crown
Coming to kiss the feet of mercy
I lay every burden down, at the foot of the cross

BRIDGE
I lay every burden down
I lay every burden down
I lay every burden down
