ALOHA ! HAWAII !

Last week my Mom returned to her place in Kona Hawaii and Julia, Brandon and I had the privilege to go back with her and spend a wonderful week there. We had a lot of fun!

We spent a lot of time at the beach playing in the waves, and we hosted our own luau at my moms house (complete with hula dancers, singers, homemade leis and a yummy menu)

We spent a day visiting the other side of the big island and saw the active volcano.......that was very exciting and educational! It was a very fun week! Thanks to my Mom and Dan for showing us all a wonderful time at Hale Eden! Aloha and Mahalo !

CATALINA ISLAND

We spent a week in Catalina on our boat! It was so much fun! Another boat from our dock in Oceanside came with us and we side tied to them. We fished on the way and on the way back........ we caught a nice yellow tail on the way and a nice Dorado on the way back. Matt and Diane and their kids came and they got a hotel room on the island. Some friends of Matt and Dianes were staying at a big house up on the hill overlooking Avalon and we went to a bar b cue there and it was a great time.....Steve Orr and his Son came with Marshall and Rhonda ( the other boat we side tied to ) We got to sing and hang out with them. The water is so clean and clear there.....we went swimming off the back of the boat .....everyone had such a great time!

Well, I have made a recording of the song that I wrote.......it is a very complex machine, so I still have a lot to learn in the use of the recorder......and of course my piano playing is very limited.....but this is where it is right now, so here are the lyrics and the recording is above.......

My new Nephew!

Here is Carson..................and his proud daddy ( My brother Robert)! I got to see him when we got home from being gone for a week.......he is so sweet! Welcome Baby Carson ! Congratulations to Robert , Jessica and Big brother Brandon!

A New Toy!

Well, today my Yamaha AW16G multi track recorder arrived!! I am sooo excited! I can record 16 different tracks and burn the mix on to a CD! I can't wait to start learning how to use it!

I will be able to record my songs right here at home. I will study the manual while we are in Catalina so that I can get my song recorded when we get back!
